Problem Note 42957: SAS® Enterprise Guide® Query Builder returns an error when a SAS® data set is joined to a Microsoft 2007 (.xlsx) file

In the Query Builder, if you attempt to join a SAS data set to a Microsoft Excel 2007-2010 (.xlsx) file, you will see the following error.

You can join a SAS data set to a Microsoft Excel 2003 (.xls) file, so you can save the Microsoft Excel 2007 file as a Microsoft Excel 2003 file before joining it to the SAS data set. Another workaround is to import the Microsoft Excel 2007 file, create a SAS data set, and then join the two data sets together,
